WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
Message
from the President.....
Summer is here! Just as the academic year has wrapped up
we find ourselves in planning mode for 2008/2009. Many of you have
already received our save-the-date for the regional conference "Through
the Looking Glass." This year's conference will give us an opportunity
to not only learn from our colleagues through fun and informative
workshops, but also allow us to connect with each other. Our Vice
President and Conference Chair,
Sally
Ann Swartley
is working hard on organizing the conference and is now seeking
volunteers for the conference planning committee. This is an excellent
way for members to get involved and maximize your involvement in NYSCEEA.
This is also a great time to reflect on lessons learned throughout the
year and think about sharing best practices with other universities and
employers through presenting workshops. Debra DelBelso,
Past President, has sent out a call for proposals and is seeking
workshops on a range of topics.
As mentioned earlier in the year, I will be sending out ballots to vote
on amendments to our constitution and bylaws. Keep an eye out within
the next few weeks! Additionally,
Donnita Firnstein,
Newsline Editor, is always seeking articles and will be working on an
upcoming issue.
As we all prepare to take much needed vacations, I wish you a safe and
fun summer. See you in the fall!
Nicole Wolfrath
