Promoting Your Organization on Campus Keeping in mind that every campus is different, here are some tips for creating a presence in order to connect with student talent that is the best fit for your hiring needs. o Recruiting: § Contact the Recruiting Coordinator at the respective career center to learn more about recruiting options. Most schools have job sites that allow you to connect with their students at no cost and many offer space for on-campus interviews as well. § Hire an intern or Co-op student When they return to campus, encourage them to give presentations to tell other students about their experiences. § Participate in Career Fairs even if you dont have a job opening at the time, this can be a valuable way to gain name recognition. o Creating a Presence: § Alumni or recruiters can volunteer to conduct workshops or review resumes at a local campus § Host an information session on-campus § Host an open house invite career services professionals for a tour of your facility § Encourage alumni to mentor students many schools offer programs for job shadowing or networking § Visit campus to meet with faculty § If you already employ Co-op students or interns, ask the career offices from their schools if they would like photos of their students at work career offices are often seeking high quality photos to use in publications
