Professional Conduct

NYSCEEA members work to identify and support post-secondary Cooperative and Experiential Education in New York State.   The success of this goal depends on all parties – recruiters, students, and career services professionals – to adhere to a uniform set of basic principles.  NYSCEEA supports the NACE Principles for Professional Conduct and encourages all members to read and follow these principles.

Of particular importance, we expect that all employment professionals maintain equal employment opportunity (EEO) compliance and follow affirmative action principles as outlined in the Principles for Employment Professionals.  Likewise, career services professionals are expected to provide generally comparable services to all employers in addition to assisting students in developing career plans or making career decisions without imposing personal values or biases.
