Message From NYSCEEA's President...

February 2014

The 40th Anniversary NYSCEEA Conference will be held at the beautiful Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown, New York October 19-21, 2014!  Technology, diversity, legal issues, and growth of our programs will be of focus as we celebrate 40 years!

Located just twenty five minutes north of midtown Manhattan, and connecting to I-87 and I-287 to upstate New York, Tarrytown is easily accessed from all geographic locations of the state!  As we prepare for our 40th Anniversary celebration we reflect on past conferences held at this very location!

Twenty years ago (September 1994): “Partners for Tomorrow’s Work Force”

Sixteen years ago (October 1998):“Issues for the 21st Century: Creative Solutions for Employers and Educators”

In March, please watch for an email containing a call for proposals for our 2014 conference.  At that time, we will announce our 2014 conference theme and provide you with updates regarding our revised conference schedule.  As NYSCEEA embarks on a year of achieving goals, together let’s make this the best conference yet!  I encourage you to take an active role in 2014 by contacting Kimberly Whittaker (whittaker@tc.columbia.edu), our 2014 VP and Conference Chair.  Kimberly is seeking volunteers for a number of conference planning committees.

In the spirit of the Winter Games, together we WIN!
